Install and Commission 4 x 1000kVA Kiosk Substations

Unforeseen ground conditions due to previous land use deemed original substation foundations not suitable. Mackex conceptualized a solution that incorporated the existing approved footing along with a with a pier system. Mackex had their proposal endorsed and this is now an approved method for this type of situation moving forward.

Work scope

Installation, connection and commissioning of 4 x 1000kVA Kiosk Substations;
Supply and install conduits and pits to service the 4 x 1000kVA Subs;
HV cable hauling and terminations; and
Undertook cable ID/ spike and outage coordination.

Outcome

Successfully completed the energization of the 4 x 1000kVA substations during a single outage event which meant minimal disruption to the ANSTO facility and their operations.
