Mackex Services delivered a Level 2 ASP electrical service connection for Tallawong High School, a new Department of Education facility in Sydney’s north-west, providing the school with its primary underground service connection from Ausgrid’s distribution network to support all building services and facilities.
Works included design and installation of the underground consumer mains from the street network to the school’s main switchboard, including cable installation, metering equipment, and all Ausgrid inspection and approval coordination. Mackex managed the full connection lifecycle from application through to energisation, ensuring the school was energised on schedule for the building commissioning and fitout phase ahead of student occupation.
Delivering a school connection within an active construction programme required tight coordination with the head contractor’s civil and building services programme. The Tallawong area’s rapid residential growth created network demand pressures requiring Ausgrid network assessment to confirm available supply capacity. All cable works were performed in compliance with Department of Education safety requirements for construction adjacent to school environments.
