Mackex Services delivered electrical infrastructure early works for the Guilford MIG (Major Infrastructure and Government) project, providing HV connection works and temporary construction supply infrastructure to enable the project’s early construction phase activities under Ausgrid’s distribution network.
Works encompassed the design and installation of temporary and permanent HV electrical infrastructure to support the early works construction programme, including underground cable installation, metering equipment, site supply connections and coordination of network approvals with Ausgrid. Mackex managed the full Level 1 and Level 2 ASP connection process from initial application through to energisation to meet the construction programme’s critical supply requirement dates.
Early works projects require rapid mobilisation and delivery of electrical infrastructure within compressed programme timeframes. Coordinating network connection approvals and construction activities on a fast-tracked early works programme demanded accelerated design and approval processes. Works required careful management of temporary versus permanent supply arrangements to avoid abortive works as the project transitioned from early construction to main works phases.
