Mackex Services delivered a Level 1 ASP high-voltage service connection for a large-format distribution centre in Penrith, providing a new dedicated HV supply point from the Ausgrid network to support the facility’s substantial electrical load requirements.
The project involved design and installation of a new HV underground cable connection from the existing Ausgrid distribution network to an on-site substation, including all civil works, cable jointing, metering infrastructure and network protection equipment. Works were coordinated with Ausgrid under a Level 1 ASP agreement to ensure compliance with network connection standards.
Constructing an HV connection to an active distribution centre required careful staging to avoid disruption to ongoing logistics operations. Cable routes traversed existing services and required detailed asset location surveys. All switching and energisation sequences were planned with Ausgrid’s network control to maintain supply continuity to adjacent network customers.
